Happy Cinco de Mayo! In the spirit of celebrating 5/5…..I’m going to continue with the 5 theme and issue a Fitness 5 challenge to help you burn off calories from chips and cerveza.
- Cardio:
- Insert five 30 second sprints into your routine. Really ramp it up and on a scale of 1-10, push yourself at a level 8. Sprint for 30 seconds and then recover. Repeat for a total of 5 times.
- Strength/Cardio Intervals (do each of these with minimal break time in between) in order of sequence. Repeat for a total of 5 times:
- 10 jumping jacks
- 10 squats
- 10 mountain climbers
- 10 alternating lunges
- 10 push ups
- Stretch
- Stretching is something we often overlook. Treat your body today to 5 minutes of quiet, focused stretching. Concentrate on your breathing, and hold each stretch for 20 seconds.
