Health Takes Center Stage!

Ooooh I Love It! This month, there are a couple of fantastic events highlighting big-screen, real-life, healthy lifestyle makeovers! The last week of September is a fabulous time to indulge in transformation inspiration!

The Biggest Loser
Local Des Moines-ian Rebecca Meyer, the at-home winner of NBC’s Season 8 “The Biggest Loser” and her boyfriend, Daniel Wright (also of the BL) will be speaking at the ABW Day (ABWA) American Business Women’s Association annual event, Tuesday, September 28th at the Hilton in Johnston.

Networking starts at 5:30; and a specially designed 3-course, 500 calorie dinner designed by Rebecca will be served at 6:30. Come hear about Rebecca and Daniel’s transformation and life on the BL ranch! If you’re interested in purchasing tickets ($35 each), please contact me. The deadline to purchase for this event is 9/20.

May I Be Frank
Some Des Moines thought leaders have arranged for a really cool event. Join a screening for a story of transformation by watching May I Be Frank at Fleur Cinemas September 29th and 30th. After the show, there will be a Q&A session with Frank himself!

May I Be Frank documents the transformation of Frank Ferrante's life. Frank is 54 years old, obese, depressed and addicted. He stumbles into a local raw, organic and vegan restaurant in San Francisco, Cafe Gratitude. When Ryland, a server at Cafe Gratitude asks Frank, "What is one thing you want to do before you die?" Frank replies, "I want to fall in love one more time, but no one will love me looking the way I do." Read more about Frank and his transformational well-being journey.
