Get Your Yoga On!

Did you know that September is national yoga month? That means it’s a perfect time for you to try out something new to spice up your workouts, whether it’s by visiting a local yoga studio or trying out a new DVD in your home.

Yoga helps both your mental and physical well-being. If you’re up for a relaxing, yet challenging fitness endeavor, give yoga a go!

Take your yoga mat and head out the door!

  • This is the last month for the Yoga in the Park free classes at Gray’s Lake. Come spend a Saturday AM enjoying nature in your city’s favorite back yard!
  • Shatki Yoga on 42nd Street in DSM is where I take yoga classes. I absolutely love the studio and the instructors are fabulous!
  • If you’re looking for a place that’s kid friendly and you want to involve your family in a new adventure, try out the Family Tree Yoga Studio.
  • Des Moines Community Education also offers some yoga classes for stress management and strength training.
